SooJin Yu Simpson (formally Beth) LICSW, is the Founder and Principal of AIRE Consulting and Counseling, PLLC, where she provides clinical therapy, individual and group supervision, consultation, and training. Her clinical practice focuses on adoptees and historically marginalized communities, integrating CBT, EMDR, somatic approaches, mindfulness, and ancestral healing to support holistic healing and reconnection.
SooJin has over 18 years of experience in social work, clinical practice, supervision, and education. She currently serves as Associate Director of Educational Access and Student Well-Being at the University of Washington and is a Lecturer with the UW School of Social Work. She is also a proud UW CWTAP graduate and former Teaching Associate.
SooJin is passionate about providing accessible, culturally responsive supervision to clinicians, particularly those from historically marginalized communities. She is committed to creating supervision spaces that center safety, reflection, professional growth, and the lived experiences of those doing the work.
As a transracial Korean adoptee, SooJin brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work with adoptees, BIPOC communities, and clinicians navigating identity, trauma, and systems of oppression.
