Healing Circles: A Response to Spiritual Abuse and Racial Trauma

Spiritual Abuse has been a topic of concern within Christian communities since the 1980s. Oftentimes the focus on power dynamics and controlling behaviors leaves out a critical piece of the discussion, race and racism.

This workshop is designed to provide a look into how spiritual abuse creates racialized trauma for Christians and Christian leaders of color. Additional adaptations of this include audiences such as mental health providers, spiritual or religious leaders, and Christian ministry volunteers.
