Healing Circles: A Response to Spiritual Abuse and Racial Trauma

Spiritual Abuse has been a topic of concern within Christian communities since the 1980s. Oftentimes the focus on power dynamics and controlling behaviors leaves out a critical piece of the discussion, race and racism. This workshop is designed to provide a look into how spiritual abuse creates racialized trauma for Christians and Christian leaders of color. Join us for a presentation by Dr. Jordan Shannon of Unity Collective and for a time of healing and processing through art, mindfulness, and discussion in small groups facilitated by Unity Collective counselors.
