GRACE (YESEUL) KIM (She/Her)

LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY ASSOCIATE

I was born and raised in South Korea and moved to Washington state for my college education, and I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Helping people improve their mental health has long been my calling. I initially pursued a biochemistry degree with the goal of becoming a psychiatrist but found a different path after becoming a small group leader in my college ministry. Through this experience, I discovered a passion for offering one-on-one and small group support, realizing my true calling lay in being a compassionate listener. I decided on a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy as my passion grew to help couples and families navigate the often-difficult waters of love.

My own experiences of pain and hurt in the midst of deep love have fueled my desire to help partners, parents, and children through similar journeys. In my therapeutic approach, I value individual uniqueness within the tapestry of relationships. Within that tapestry I focus on exploring dynamics, patterns, and interactions that shape relationships.

I am particularly excited to pursue my passion and calling of supporting couples facing relationship challenges. As an immigrant myself, I also look forward to helping immigrant couples and families feel heard, understood, and empowered in their personal and cultural struggles.

A little bit about me: I find solace and inspiration in my relationship with God, which permeates every aspect of my life. I also love music, creative arts, and spending time outdoors with my husband and beloved dog.

I provide therapy in English and in Korean.
