DEVI VISWANATHAN (She/Her)
MFT GRADUATE STUDENT INTERN
We all go through difficult or uncertain times in our lives. I believe these moments can become opportunities for growth when met with self-awareness, compassion, and support. Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, complexities of motherhood, a demanding career, the inner critic or simply want to become a better version of yourself, I offer a supportive space, practical tools and authentic connection to help you move through life’s challenges with greater clarity and balance.
I’m passionate about supporting couples through different stages of their journey — whether preparing for marriage, adjusting to the joys and challenges of parenthood, or working to rediscover the connection that once felt effortless. Using EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), I help couples slow down the cycles of conflict, hurt, and miscommunication that can leave partners feeling alone or unseen. My goal is to create a space where both people feel safe enough to reconnect with themselves and each other, fostering greater closeness, understanding, and emotional intimacy.
I’m especially drawn to working with women and immigrant families, where cultural expectations, identity, and generational experiences can add meaningful complexity to relationships.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over two decades as a software developer at Microsoft. My own journey of self-reflection and personal growth eventually led me to the field of therapy. This experience gives me a deep appreciation for the complexities of career transitions, burnout, and identity shifts.
Several years of dedicated meditation practice enables me to bring mindfulness, grounded presence, and compassion into the therapy room. In our work together, I listen with openness and curiosity, respecting your experiences, and your pace and uniqueness. In this space, all parts of you are welcome!
On the personal front, I’m a mom of 2 teens, and a golden doodle! I’m also an avid Vipassana meditator. I’m currently pursuing my graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Seattle Pacific University. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, playing with our doggie, and cuddling with family for Friday movie nights over popcorn.
