CAMERON GRAY (He/They)
MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY GRADUATE STUDENT INTERN
Throughout my life, I have been humbled and amazed by the resilience, compassion, and capacity for growth I have witnessed in others. In times of change and transition, we grow most meaningfully together. Sometimes growing means opening up your world, even if that starts with just one person. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with those striving towards change and transformation. I have an unshakeable belief that people are not their problems and that everyone already has the ability and strength to make changes, though sometimes we need help along the way.
I am excited about working with individuals of all ages, couples, and families, across all backgrounds, spiritualities, abilities, and identities, and am committed to meeting people where they are. I believe change is an act of co-creation, led by my clients as the experts of their own stories and lives.
I have a particular interest in the intersection of gender and other identities. This relationship shapes every single one of our lives, no matter how we identify. Whether bringing joy, frustration, euphoria, or dysphoria, gender plays a role in how we engage with ourselves, one another, and within our communities. I see therapy as activism and believe small personal changes lead to big community and societal impact. I advocate for equitable relationships and am passionate about restorative practices and community building.
I am a graduate student at Seattle Pacific University, pursuing a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern Oregon University. This educational background highlights my varied interests, including people, art, and a fascination with how the world works. Through work in theater and as a lifelong musician and artist, I developed a love for collaboration, community, and creativity at all levels.
